So Confused

I am not sure what to believe anymore. People say what you want to hear, and it makes it hard to figure out what's real and what's fake. I feel so lost sometimes because I don't really know who I am, let alone who everyone else is. I try to follow my heart, but it seems to lead me in the wrong direction. Is this because there is something to learn? or is it because I'm not following what I should be following. I want something real, and I'm starting to question if it's out there.
